What makes Economics feel harder than it is.
Economics is two subjects wearing one name. The macro half is systems and diagrams; the micro half is graphs and marginal analysis. Learners usually cope with one and quietly avoid the other until the exam forces the issue.
The graphs are the tell. A learner who can draw and label a perfect-competition diagram from memory understands the model. One who has memorised the shape without the axes does not, and it shows the moment the question shifts the assumptions.
Why does the firm still produce if it’s making a loss?
Good question — this is the shut-down rule. In the short run, what costs does the firm pay whether it produces or not?
Fixed costs.
Right. So as long as price covers average variable cost, producing loses less money than closing. Sketch the diagram and mark that point.
What Grace covers in Economics.
CAPS-aligned, Grades 10–12. Tell Grace the grade and it works to that curriculum level.
Macroeconomics
The circular flow, national accounts and aggregates, business cycles, the public sector and fiscal policy, money and banking, and the foreign exchange market and balance of payments.
Microeconomics
Perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition, cost and revenue curves, market failure, and the role of government in the market.
Economic pursuits
Growth and development, industrial development policies, economic and social performance indicators, and regional and international development approaches.
Contemporary economic issues
Inflation, unemployment, redistribution, tourism, and environmental sustainability — with the data interpretation and essay structure the paper rewards.
Economics homework help, at the hour it is needed.
Economics homework usually involves a graph, a definition and a paragraph, and the graph is where it goes wrong.
Grace works through the diagram with your child — axes first, curves second, equilibrium last — and then asks them to redraw it from scratch.
- Photograph a diagram or written answer for feedback
- Builds graphs from the axes up, not from a remembered shape
- Teaches essay structure and the mark allocation behind it
- Data interpretation from tables and current indicators

Questions about Economics tutoring.
Does it cover both papers?
Yes, across macroeconomics, microeconomics, economic pursuits and contemporary issues.
Can it help with the graphs?
Yes, and this is where most of the value sits. Grace builds the diagram in order rather than describing the finished picture.
Does it teach essay technique?
Yes. Economics essays are marked on structure, content and a higher-order conclusion, and all three are learnable.
Is current data included?
Grace works with the concepts and with figures your child brings from class or a data set in the question. It is not a live economic data feed.
